Food and Friends, Cafes and Friends.

Friends I love. When I am sad and feeling whiny, they are there for me. Of course, they are not exhaustive. Dear friends, i love you! More than food!

Back to 1998.

People come and go. These are those who stay. Thanks babes. I know more will attend our next gathering. We will have. Thanks for the bumble bee times in 1/7 and 2/7. They were probably the best times of my life.
People we thought of when we chatted. Hope that we will find them one day.
1) Mrs Cheryl Ng (the biologist on dove commercial)
etc etc..
And also hope that one day, we will be able to walk back to Crescent together to open that time capsule. To be still able to climb up the rotunda without panting. To be able shout across from futura block to echo block without getting a bad throat. To be able to sleep at night with the ghostly ballerina. To be. Just to be. To be a proud and happy Crescentian.

Further than the greens

The Sunday after JB with my fellow G2s, I woke up early next morning for a walk with dear Jul at the southern ridges. It was pretty. But too bad we didn't have enough time to cover the whole walk. Will do it again. Will find time. And some energy.

In moderation, 1985.

I need to get life back in moderation again. I have not mentioned about work, real work, in my posts. I was also reminded of it by my PIC a few days back. So as with everything in life, I need to do it in moderation. A balance is all that I am seeking for. Fairness is what everyone wants in life, isn't it? What am I saying anyway?

Sis has left to LA for holidays. Sobs. 2 weeks. Hope she comes back with gifts for me. Ok, it is not so much of the gifts. But rather just the joy of receiving. It is tiring to give always, right God?

I was sitting in office today, reminiscing about how everything comes together in life. I told yiwen aka mama that I found it so weird that 9 months ago, I was sitting in the pantry on level #3 looking at her. Cause she looked like a mediacorp actress Priscilla (Zeng Shi Mei) and now I am on the Pru team with her. It is so magical that everything falls into place. And of course, there is also yy aka youyu aka auntie aka cuttlefish. Her presence is comforting. I am serious. And tuo ma shi, for entertaining me. I didn't know he was so funny when I knew him in TS Tay. Haha!

I am also thankful for the friends team. Consisting of Phoebe, Chandler and Joey. Yeah, we need Monica and Ross. For all the madness on MSIG and Friends Provident. Wah haha, yes we all love 31st March.

Here's the cheers to the end of 31st March. The damn reporting deadline given by MAS.

Oh yes, it is also your birthday. Happy Birthday.

Retrospectively in photos

Finally gotten hold of my oldie bday photos from my sister's friends.
Anyway thanks thanks. My head kena cut off by the picasa program. Ain't their fault.

Met up with my brainies on Thurs for my belated birthday celebration at cuba libre. Not bad food. Didn't stay for the live cuban music though cause we were craving for our macha parfait at sun with moon. Anyway, thanks babes. Love the ambience, music, food, drinks that were going for one for one. Sweet. I shan't critic on the food. Cause I am not pro like Weijie.. Haha.

Met up with the foodies on Good Friday evening for our foodie outing at Hook on Heads. Was pretty surprised with what they serve. But the food is not bad. It was fiery hot for the curry fish head. Anyway, good food for consecutive days is bad for my body. Getting fat!

Next up, shall show you a cheesy photo that sis and I took at the studio. It was voted the best among buds who have seen it. Shall print this then. Laugh people laugh. I guess I won't have a chance at graduating again unless I decide to study masters. Oh well.

That's all folks, ciao!!!

Foodies @ It again!

Met the foodies in the morning for our zou cha. (Read in canto please)

But you know us being pigs, I only managed to wake up at 11am for our 1130am appointment for a short meal before we get busy with the day's work!

Oh but anyway, food is so so except for the bo lo bao. You know the pineapple crust bun with char siew. Yums. Thanks heidi for the birthday treat. We'll shall go hook on heads soon. Yes, soon.

Life's great. Thanks. Really thanks. Muacks.

Ok. I give up.

I realised I need pretty photos to spice up my blog. It is already so dead. Had escargots, borsch soup and fantastic food! Chatted with my dearies. Love them. Guess they will always be the only I can bitch about evilings. Our once in a month meeting is too little (ok fine, don't include the little side trips we make.)

Met up with my uni peeps on a sat bbq. Played wii, sang and ate a lot. Imagine accountants and auditors coming together. What can they do? Sit and whine. It seems like only yesterday that I travelled with some of them to Taiwan. It seems like only yesterday we were sitting at the back of LT talking loudly. It seems like only yesterday that we were having lunch at can B or the mini escapades to Jurong Point. But as we chatted that day, I felt old. Feel old. So old. Where is our youth that we once shared? Maybe relinquishing thoughts will only make you feel older.

Early lao yu sheng! Good year ahead for us. Huat ah! Missing in action, Nguyen Thi Thu Huong ( you MAS regulator, stop sticking around and come join us!), Chong Ming Yong (zhong she qing you. boo!)..... Till then!

In doldrums.

I am getting a bit lazy to update. Ok. It is very lazy in fact.
Work is fine. Nose is itchy.
Drive is right. Company is great.
Love is good. Friends are a bitch.

We all love bitch when we come together!

Met my dearies on Friday @ Shashlik. Talk was good. Food was nice. Especially the beef. Some say it has the best Russian nosh in Singapore. Go try.

We're cursed beings. Sad but true. I realised I am ranked 1. Steph then Jul. In terms of who having the least faith. We all love our coffee club. After all, we have been hanging out at holland village coffee club 2nd level hole for sometime.

Met my uni peeps @ Irene's Hse for one notch higher class bbq. We didn't prepare any stuff. Just bought them from mmmm! @ Square 2. I must say the past few times we bought stuff there, the food never seem to fail. So need marinated meat and much more? go get from mmmm!! (note: mmmm! = marinated meat and much more!)

No pictures of food. Cause I am getting fat.

Catch up with my own life.

3 Sundays back, I went to my AM's wedding. Felt weird as I was the only associate level 1 kiddo. But my fellow associate mama and cuttlefish made it better.

The food was great and company was great.

I am so lazy to update.

Moving on to Children's Wing

Since Lulu is leaving for UK next month, this post can't come at a better time. It has been months since I joined Children's Wing. Didn't stay on at RSPID cause I have graduated from NTU. Neither did I join WestEnd because I wanted a change of environment. So since children's wing needed people, it was a good time! It started off in Jan 2007 with a group of raffles girls with Thye Ann as head. Now with irene, albert, me and some more to come, it has more or less settled down. Irene and I have sort of fixed a program for weekly session. The girls are also of a big help. I will definitely miss lulu's noisy presence which adds a lot more fun to the session. The voluntary work has also moved onto another level which seems so surreal that it started only a month ago or so for me. But come to think of it, I am really surprised that the rgirlies are dedicated to it. It never occured to me that they were interested in it. And to add on, it is not 1 girl but a group of them coming together. The starting point for them to do community work is because of school, but it has definitely progressed on to something more holistic than just serving the society.
Ok, I know I am ranting. But that's because my sis said that my posts were all of eating and eating. So this post is something different. I have talked to my colleagues about volunteering at MINDS Youth Group. I am not preaching but just letting know what I do weekly seems not a bad choice. At least they know there is such an avenue for contributing your time.

A senior, Houyeng, did ask me if I had time for other things and if she needed me to work on Sat, what would I do? It is flexible. I commit myself to it but doesn't mean I die die must go. Yes, I have time for other things. I don't give myself excuses like I don't have time. Maybe when it comes to frivolous things, I do. I won't reject to meet up. Yes, certain things of my life do revolve around this sat but there are over 300 volunteers who also does the same thing for MYG. I wake up on a sat as usual. If I send my sister to work, it will be 8am. If not, it will be 9/10/11 ish. I will buy lunch, plan some programs for session and get to MINDSVille by 3pm. We will have our session and ends at 530/6. I will meet friends for dinner. I will usually end my sat before 12 if not I will get angry faces at home. Yes, if not for the 3 hours at MINDS and plus 1 or 2 hours for planning, I could have used them for other stuff. Like? I won't know. Yeaps. It is an outlet for me to channel some time back. I don't have money like the foundations but I have the little time for them.

So what about you?

Our Monthly Meeting

Suggested to go steamboat because the noisy gang of 12 can talk as loud as we want, eat as noisily as we like and definitely, sit as long as they don't chase us out!
Thereafter, we headed to Tong Shui @ Liang Seah. Goodnight dudes and babes! See you guys for Christmas!

Friends & Food. I love.

Met up with the exchange people last Friday. Since we were all in raffles place, we headed to Oosters to reminisce good old times in Maastricht. The girls had our favourite Cherry beer. The usual suspects included leffe, hoegarrden, stella artois... Vic and I tried something really killer too. Can't remember the name. But it was really enjoyable to eat a pot of mussels again! Though it doesn't taste as good as the one we had in Maastricht. And we share it this time round. Yes, we really did finish 1kg pot of mussels in Maastricht all by ourselves. Miss those days.
Met the girlies on Thursday for a short meal and to catch up. Steph had her exams just before dinner so ended up dining at Billy Bombers in JP. Haha, we were full and satisfied after the meal. And of course, we were all satisfied with the answers and advice we had from each other. Right Steph and Jul?
-- Time to sleep. Will update more later. --

Foodies @ Little Bali

We decided to go to Little Bali to check out Irene's cousin (ok, more for a discount) but we ended up not. He was not working that evening. Ah! But nonetheless, we had a good meal and chatting... and sitting on the island platform. It felt awkward at first as there were tables surrounding the platform. The platform had 2 tables. We felt like kings and queens sitting on the platform.... Haha.. The cushys were a bit dirty according to WJ... the lightings were cosy enough for a couple but too dark for 4 friends who just want to chat and catch up (in other words, gossip).

The drinks were fantastic... At least for my mocktail. We were driving so yeah. We went to Holland V for 2 bottles of beer for $10 but it was packed! So ended up chilling in damn cold olio in HV. Home Sweet Home thereafter.

Birthday 1st Brain

We had a pre birthday celebrations as the babe will probably be taken on her birthday anyway. We met to dine at da paolo. Pretty expensive but the company, food, ambience made up for it.

We goofed around. We had the 2nd level all for ourselves until 8ish when it started to get pack.
I shall do alfresco next time at Da Paolo (Rochester Park). Seems more lovely to sip red wine and dine alfresco.

Brain 1, 2, 3.

After that, we headed to my fave drinking place. Was sitting in the bar this time. The first time actually. It was easy to access to the staff. And TV!

Uni Peeps and The Foodies

Let's start with the cute car that sits one. Caught it at Upper Thomson Road. SFB car plate with a Caucasian driving it.
The uni peeps met up at Sakura. Food sucks. Company was way better.
The eat a lot gang. The atas gang. Had jap meal at Isetan Scotts. Yums. Followed by Icekimo. Yums.

Guides @ MOF

It was a certainly a good catch up with my guides friends. It has been awhile since I catch up with some of them and it was good to do it over food (what else can it be?)....
We went to Ministry of Food. I wouldn't say it is the best place to sit down and chat but it was empty enough to warm the seats there. That is to say, we don't need to feel bad about sitting down for too long...

Looks yumilicious but... yeaps, just a fine place to me!

Quality Vs Quantity

I always try to convince myself that quality is more precious than quantity. Like you should not compromise quality with quantity. But I realised that it does not matter anymore. Cause we cannot even have a scale for quality. I think quantity still satisfy Singaporeans more than anything else.

Speaking of which, I try to weigh my time too much on quality and cost. But it doesn't matter at all to the others. So I have decided that some things are not in my hands to control. Even if I hanker for that tiniest of time, it is still not enough (never enough). So when I try to convince myself it was quality time spent, it makes me feel even more miserable than ever. So I brought myself another idea that time is precious. It is attached with a cost. My cost is not in monetary units but in the sense of opportunity cost. The cost of getting scolded, the cost of not doing something else, the cost of not smiling to sleep, the cost of getting distracted, the cost of getting upset, the cost of crying, the cost of ....

So in another words, one extra hour of my time that will make you save one hour, will eventually cost me something listed above.
It does not apply to when one hour of my time that will make you save one hour. Or one hour of my time is spent together with one hour of your time.

I do not believe in the bullshit about quality time anymore.

But of course, I love to spend every moment living life, enjoying it with people. How can you ever say you spend 1 quality hour per year with a friend and expect you to be good friends? Maybe only my woman will understand. Cause I am so lazy to meet her. Prolly 3 hours every few months?

Sorry friends. I really try to work my time out. Just lost faith in the whole concept of time. I know you will go "HUH, what is the concept?" Work has taken a toll on EVERYONE's life.

People I wanna meet before the year ends.
1) Madame (Catch up and gossip)
2) Miss Bliss (See her after all the years...)
3) Woman (I wanna go Sunset way with you.)
4) Brains (Steph's bday is coming!)
5) Spearfix (In half depressed mode for a long time...)
6) Davidoff Bro (Busy mugging for his 2nd upper...)
7) Little Bro (Hiding in Archi studio, turning into a stoneman?)
8) Christine Sutrisno (In Syd, sobs, SQ, give me ticket to Syd)
9) Uni Peeps (ESP together again.)
10).....
Endless. But maybe for now, I only hope I get to catch these people's precious time.

Merlioned

I thought I better write this down before everyone points the finger and said you were drunk!
So so so... I admit that I had a little too much and all I wanted to do was to sleep.
Everyone had good intentions and sit up and puke. But all I want is to lie down.

Thanks to my buds in KP. Weimin and Daph. Luckily da fei was more alert than min. Haha. I was just totally sleepy. And someone called min and min kept saying F you F you to the person over the phone. Which I just found out it was none other than Victor Toe. Haha...
Thanks to Melvin who kept asking me to put legs apart to puke. But I was too tired to care. =P But simply too tired to reply.

And I kept asking Dafei if she had my HP while lying down .... and my camera kept slipping out of my pocket... BUT I remembered them. Cause the hp is dear to me and the camera full of memories.

A night to remember. Thanks for all making it worthwhile. At least for that moment, I forgot heavy thoughts and only remember those faces that I love and care in my mind.

Morning awake. Msged Dafei and min... Found out that min merlioned too! And Yiing was a total mess too. Seems like everyone was sloshed. Victor Toe was sloshed too. My fellow G2s, we did make it worthwhile.

17 shots. 1 bourbon coke. Thanks KPMG.

Mid Autumn in Summer Singapore.

Thank you babes for showing support for my crazy idea to play lanterns. Thanks to the guys for being sporting enough to play sparklers and burn lanterns with us. Hope we stay friends forever like our lanterns. Haha. Cheesy. But anyway, love my babes. It was good grill food and shabu. Yums! Happy Belated Birthday to Lawrence too...

Food and Meetings

Yes, we all love excuses. To take time off work that is. So my unit celebrated 4 peeps' birthday in the pantry with an awfully chocolate cake. It was real sinful to skip work and dig into a muddy chocolate cake. But well...
My JC class met for the once in year gathering. This was organised by the very free Josh. Haha... We all had a good time just to catch up with each other. =)

Updates about my life...

KPMG Community Day 2007

@ KPMG Community Day. Jac our secretary put me in charge of distributing goodie bags. That was really easy... with my fellow G2s of course!

Top right photo, my MSIG team seniors... We love birds, don't we? Remind me of those days when dad kept many birds at home. My crescent and tj friends even said my place was redhill birdpark. Those were the days.

Singapore Fireworks Celebrations 2007

Before the celebrations, all 6 of us had dinner @ Dian Xiao Er. To celebrate his birthday. A belated one that is.

Thanks to Lawrence for walking to the 'toilet' to get us the cake. Ew right. Thanks to Jul for the tickets to floating platform. All for that glory of the 15 minutes of fireworks, we had to be stuck in a jam for more than 15 minutes. Human jam, traffic jam. Had great company with you guys. Muacks.

PSK Marche

Met up with the piggies @ Marche. I find the selection now is blah. Don't wanna go there again at least in the next month. Great company, so who cares?

Guides @ Harry's

Had a late work night that day. So managed to met up with the guides gang over @ Harry's for a quickie drink. One was enough, cause there is more work to be done!

Batam Relax

Over the weekend, I finally got to go with the brains and partners to some island getaway. So the deal this quarter was going to Batam for some cheap relaxation activities. Considering we spent around 200 per person for 2 days!

But it was a good time altogether!
We set off at 945am. But we delayed everyone else cause he forgot to bring his wallet. Sorry babes! But nonetheless, we got onto the ferry and it left for Sekupang then waterfront. =)

When we reached Waterfront, we were greeted by Holiday Inn bus transfer. So we hopped on and off we go to our hotel.

We love Holiday Inn. It was fantastic. We stayed in a suite so it was very very lovely. =) We classify our suites with the respective names. "Studio", "Service Apt" and "HDB". And mine was HDB style. Haha.

We surprised Jul with a complimentary birthday cake from Holiday Inn. Thanks to Steph for making the request and Holiday Inn did the perfect gesture. =) We had a mini food party and eat ourselves silly.

I introduced them a drink that is truly authentic. Truly Indo. It costs only 1750 rupiah. Meaning 30 cents? They went ew! Haha! But I love the 'indian' taste.

The next day, we woke up to eat and the rain spoilt the chance to swim. So we did the next best thing, girls went to have our own time at SPA. Haha... We had a full body massage the day before in Holiday Inn Tee Tree Spa and so Sunday was a SPA day for us!

To mega mall for more massage for only $4. Haha. And Lawrence had a haircut for $6. Nice!

Thanks everyone for a lovely time. The donuts were great too. But the ugly singaporean aunties...were not.

Haha.

My Best "Friends"

I have made many friends since I started work.

One of them is Miss Plaster. She is inexpensive and useful. But I decided to invest in Mister Blister Plaster today. It costs me $4 for 5 pieces compared to cheaper $2 for 10 Miss Plaster. Haha.

And shopping. Weekends are meant for shopping.

On Sat, I went to Children's Wing then to WestEnd. Then, shopping with Albert and Serene in Suntec. What follow were 2 shirts and a set of cuff link from Raoul and 1 cardi from Mango.

On Sun, I went to TP Hub to support RSPID and be in the receiving party to replace CK. Then more shopping!! I went to Orchard with mum and sis. 1 pair of guess heels, 1 pair of everbest, heel protector (read: anti-blister, hopefully), 1 mango dress (don't know when I will get round to it), 1 mango jeans, 1 sense top and 1 little match girl skirt.

Haha. Total damage, sorry dad.
Photos!
Went to catch Dim Sum Dollies with Mr. A. Damn good play. Worth every cent of it!

While waiting for Mr. A at Citylink Mall, I hung out at HMV. Found my Rascal Flatts! Bought it and Michael Buble album. Yums music. Then we saw Corinne while walking to Suntec to meet the rest. Notice what I am wearing? It's after work baby.

Heidi, WJ, A and myself head down to Copthorne King's Hotel for penang buffet on Thursday. Again, it was after work for me. That explains my outfit.

We ate so much till we wanted to puke. But it was good buffet!

Hope another good week is ahead of me!

NUE Beginning

I started a new phase of my life on Wednesday. I know it sounds so BORING. Let me whine a little, won't you?

2nd day of work, I dressed down like my team mates cause we were supposed to be BBQ that night. But in the end, it was just a sit down dinner with BBQ food under the skies at Fort Canning. =)

First day, had jap dinner.

Yesterday, met up with the acid comm for free desserts. =) While the rest had free dinner and desserts. Haha!

That sums up my boring life.

"Baggages", Baggages and Work

3 days of work had passed me by without me realising the pains of work YET.

I hate other baggages that comes with work.
1) Wearing make up.
2) Walking in covered heels.
3) Wearing damn formal.

And of course, being an auditor, you are given many extra baggage to carry. I was given 2 bombs on 2 separate days.
1) A trolley bag for document. It is that kind that you bring up on the plane. God, I don't want to be seen pulling that anytime soon.
2) A laptop bag with of course the laptop.

And work.
I don't know if I should ever discuss about work. You know the secrecy and independence.

Anyway, overdue photos.
On 2nd, went out with the brainies. Our monthly get out. Then finally brought the accountant and weijie to One Rochester. My fave hang out besides sun with moon. Haha. Went after meeting the brainies and my wsc meeting.

We ordered the first round of drinks with 2 sides. Farmer's Sausage and Fries. The sausage was alright but the fries were addictive. Dean's Dragon, Mojito & Cosmopolitan.

We ordered 2nd round of drinks with more fries. Haha. Shirley temple for our driver/accountant, zack's killer and dragonfruit martini for myself! I am holding onto the shirley temple not the dragonfruit...

More foodie hunting with them and Heidi soon!

The Maas met up for a BBQ session at Irene's place! It was good to see Sue mei after so long. She looks the same and even quieter. Haha. Sorry for lousy quality photos. It is also representative of the lousy feelings I am having now.

We played our fav game of spade for awhile and also mahjong. =) Next meet up will probably be much later when everyone is settled into their jobs and schools.

Sleep Debt

Over the weekend, I was at ACID. It was damn tiring. On Thurs, I had 3 hrs of sleep after worrying about my results. Fri night at PJC, I had 3 hours of sleep that doesn't feel like sleep at all. Sat night I had 4 hours of sleep.
Yes, I paid back all when I reached home at 3pm On Sunday. I bathed, waited for hair to dry while reading papers and dropped dead at 4pm till this morning 8am. That's like 16 hours of sleep with sister interrupting my sleep thrice. I am so alert now. I have to invigilate later. Ah!
On Thurs, I met up with the guides + KT's best friend - Siok.

Friends For Life.

I found something on my zhup's special series blog, featuring our TW grad trip.
Settler's Cafe outing... More photos from my Kee Zhang's (Angeline) camera. Everyone else was present except for TH. Girls there were (L-R), Me a kong ba pao, Shar a zhup as in gravy of kong ba, Kee Zhang, KL, Daph a nonya zhang and Heidi. Guys there were Albert as bai zhan ji (white chicken), Qingwen the bday boy, Weimin the dong po rou and Weijie the drunkard.
The bday boy with his Gobi cake. Yums!
Met up with BRAINS today! Exactly one month since we last met. 2 hungry wolves waited 30 min for B1... and we ate our Ms Clarity food too fast... Ended up that we were so full...Being girls, we have a 2nd stomach for desserts. After we shopped at bugis, we headed to central for our favourite fix of Sun with Moon. =))) We ordered 4 desserts for 3 of us. YUMS!
The girls posed for the camera with their gifts from TW. Haha... and I shared our fav macha parfait with Steph and the B2 was being greedy, eating one parfait by herself!

I was telling the brains I wanted to be touristy and take photos along Singapore River at Clarke Quay. Took both day and night shots.

And I found the pair of shoes I fell in love in HK! At a slightly more expensive price tag. Argh! But nevermind, I love it to bits. Shopping is fun. Eating is fun! But the company is way more than fun! Love you brainies.

Food, mahjong and drinks. Heavenly!

Took NEL for the 3rd time in my life when the gang wanted to go Seng Kang (Weimin's place) for a good session of MJ. I hate trains! But NEL was alright with no people. I prefer a packed bus compared to a packed train. Get the drift? Anyway, met a few of them for lunch before heading down to min's place. Had mos burger. Lovely!
When we reached min's place, we immediately played mj for hours. Weijie and Daph sat at the game for a good 4 hours and more? Haha! Anyway, Angeline was busy categorising our Taiwan trip photos... MJ is fun!

We had loads of Cs at min's place. Chips, chocs and corona! =)

I think I forgot to introduce to you guys to this drink.

Add some green tea powder to yakult and you will get a shapely body. =) Drink it a few times a week if you like it. Learnt it in Taiwan.
Anyway, it is sweet. My car is clean. =)

The Car Exercise

Slept at 1ish after settling my sister's friend into her room. And woke up at 8ish when I heard sis screaming, "I am going to be late, you're going to send me to work!"
Then I looked the car and said, you need to bathe! So I went to wash the car at the car park. Feeling so darn tired now.
I wouldn't mind this new baby next year! Sister I will be nice...Off I scoot off to HK! Will be back soon to post more Taiwan photos... A posed photo outside Ah Zhong Mian Xian in Ximenting. Hong Lu Deng. Did you realise? Red (Min), Amber (Daph) and Green (Yours truly)... Go go go!

Full full day!

I had a wonderful day. I slept at 2am and woke up at 7am. Left home in the rain to Cycle & Carriage to service car. Then I came back to pack my luggage again... Then I left my B2 darling to change my shoes at Queensway... We walked there and took a bus to town to meet B1 darling... Ate at some korean place. Yummy!
We wanted to go try look for Secret Garden but decided to collect the car! So we ran for the bus cause Jul said, "Can go redhill!" So we just boarded and it took such a long way to get to our destination.... If we had taken another bus it will be so much faster! Haha..We went to have our serving of ice cream at Daily Scoop after collecting the car... We were happy with the earl grey. Yums!! =)

Then we went to Vivo cause dear Steph had to go on cruise... Vivo for the 3rd time in a week! =P The view is fantastic. I guess night will be even better! I want to go on cruise!! Never go before! Sua ku ok.

Ended my day with Avy's birthday celebrations at Settler's. Happy to matchmake KJ and her together. =) Happy birthday girl.

Bye! Leaving in 8 hours for Taiwan! Gotta be up at like 4ish?! Byee!

Exercise Attempt and My Woman!

I attempted to exercise today. Rather happy with my swim at cousin's place. No one was around to watch my fats. And best part was I swam equivalent of 15 laps. I am feeling happy. But body is aching all over. Massage! Knee hurts terribly but I think will improve with more swims. Thereafter, went to NUS to pick my woman!
I have not met my dearest woman since my birthday I think. We have been communicating but we just couldn't find time to meet before we each went our way for exchange to Europe and States. But now that she's back and I am back since Jan, we finally found time to meet! After her last paper, we celebrated it at Vivo. 2 times of Vivo. I am loving it.
She wanted to eat at Kim Gary though I thought it was extremely overrated. It is just like tong shui. I had toast and green tea honey lemon while the woman had korean spicy mee and ice milk. As you can see, we are happy with our food and chats. We were there from 5 till 6ish?
Then we walked around to get my sister's stuff. This woman has better memory than me. She remembered what sis told me to buy. =) Then I decided to go Corduroy and Finch... But they ran out of the warm choc pudding that I wanted to try. Gee! We ended up having cheesecake and waffles with earl grey mint tea. Yums! Left C&F at 9ish.
She loves my sister's seal a lot. =) Oh did I say we wanted to do so much at Vivo? But we ended up sitting down and chat. We wanted to go arcade to play games... Haha! And we wanted to catch a show, but too late le.... But nevermind, we promise to meet again soon and not 1 year later!

Killing the Innocent

I met the bro for supper. Ok, it is not supper cause I had my cinderella timings. It was more like an after dinner soup since my mom didn't prepare. But it was a good suggestion to kill the innocent and drink it once in awhile! I feel totally "?". Haha! Guess what soup it is! Lousy quality as I forgot about my camera!

Anyway, have been spending my days and nights watching Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty. I am loving ugly betty. So much that I play the theme song before watching every ep. But where is Ep 5?? If some darlings have it, pretty please?

BAV

BAV deadline is on Wednesday and I can see a A++ report according to Princess Julin. And our boss WQ is also very reassuring. As for Hao Ling Milk, she is also very nice to send me so small print wordings to make my eyesight turn from current 275 degrees to 1275 degrees. Then you have the laughing hyena Daph whom you just cannot stop laughing with during project times.

I actually like to do BAV. Gives me a sense of achievement unlike other projects I have seen.
Oh well. If only my job entails doing sthg like BAV, I would love it to bits.

So people, do buy TMC shares. 2 months ago, it was $0.535. Now it is $0.575. Risen by 7%! I should have bought it. Shucks. Ciao!

I like my 206 group mates. In different phase of my life in NTU, I found different groups, different friends. But I particularly like this group for its craziness.
Memorable groups include:
1) OB group mates: The 4 girls (Huijun, Sharmaine, Angeline and myself) - always being targeted by Aahad!
2) Marketing Project: 3 guys and 2 girls. (Cutie TseWhei, Albert and Weijie, Sharmaine)
3) AA102: Albert and Irene - The project made us crazy at Irene's place.
4) Risk Management: All year 2s except for old woman. (YongQiang, Kaiyuan, Berenice and Aiwei)
5) Biz Comm - RAY! Haha.
6) My project mates on exchange. (Irene - my roomie, Maurice and Erik (NL students for audit project, Alexander Lechterback (Deustche student for investment projects), Koen-NL and Franziska-D for strategic marketing.)

Not that other projects are not memorable. But it was all these projects that hold a special memory in mind....

I stole this picture from Bel. They are my bestest pals while working after A levels... At PSK, my dad's office. Yes, I wore a dress! I retro dress which I adore. Her church wedding was a blast too. Good food from Purple Sage caterer. Good company. Wish them a blissful marriage. (=

I met Steph, KT and Kangni for lunch on Sunday afternoon.... We wanted to find good cheap lunch at Raffles City but ended up going to Vivo.

The rest of the gang was unable to make it.
Adios my friends. It is time for me to take a break from this site.
It has lost the purpose of it. The purpose of posting words. Words that hold truth and deepest feelings.
I love my girlies. Take care everyone.

As per Chinese tradition, the uni peeps celebrated CNY at Irene's place this year. The previous years were done at my place and also a sushi outing last year.
This year was a fun year. We had nice a great steamboat and great fun winning and losing at black jack. Did I say I lost all my coins found in my car? I have a few bucks worth of coins. Lousy luck at blackjack. (=

Most of us deck out in red. Let's plan our grad trip soon!
Thankful for having you guys. I hope we will celebrate many more occassions together.
As we move on to MAS, EY, KPMG, PWC... I hope we make lots of money!
Eh no one is going to Deloitte? Hahaha!

I am so convinced that TV programs tell lies. So TVs are their accomplice. Boo! Let's act to kill the TVs! They lie just about everything in life that I thought they were for real. How foolish I am.

But anyway, on a lighter side, thanks babes. For the bag, the file and the saliva + sweaty effort for the home made cheesecake. MUACKS! For all the trouble to send it down. (= First birthday present of the year. Feeling super high! Hope more goodies coming my way.

Time to mug. Cheers!

I am tired but but... awake!
So looked through those photos I have taken in the past. How I miss those days. Especially Crescent days. I feel so old! It has been 6 years since I left....
I like to take photos back then. I took so much gibberish photos with my sister's slr that my mum decided that I am not going to develop anymore crap photos so my push for digi cam was approved then. So I have loads of them in my laptop but that's just half of what I used to have cause my computer died a few years back. )=
So nowadays, I try my best to bring my cam out to whip it out in case of any cam worthy moments.

Just like the boring moments in class.
Yes, we all love classes.
We seriously do.
Let's sit in the first row next time and be A-students! (=

What's in a day? Especially so when it's Valentine's Day? A day spent with class in the morning, shopping in the afternoon and project meeting in the evening is the perfect way. And that's because you skip the whole shit of trying so hard to be lovey dovey only on 1 day of the year. How pathetic.

Wait, I shall not say that too soon. Because some couples don't even spend a single day being lovey dovey together. WTH. Why being together...

Anyway, it was such a pathetic day that my MAC breakfast was taken at 10am while rushing to submit my Visio HW online, having my lunch at 4pm after shopping with dad and finally KFC dinner at 10pm. SCREWED DAY!

But anyhow, I seem to be able to make myself feel better by looking at my textbooks, looking at photos taken in the past, listening to music.... and devising a plan on what to buy when my dad is gone. (=

But here are some long due photos! Our first weekend in Singapore and all the Maastricht exchange peeps from SMU and the gang of 8 having crab bee hoon. Then after that we went to IceCube for desserts. I wanna go St. James! And Rochester! And Dempsey!

I finally met the brains on Thursday to pass them gifts and souvenirs from my trip. I also gave them super belated presents. But I think they were happy with my gifts! =)

First stop for the hungry people, Sun with Moon trip!
2nd stop, walk from wheelock to Cine and back to the car!
3rd stop, buy dinner for mum while the girlies "snatched" their gifts in the car! (They know the spirit of sharing... they splitted anything they could.)
4th stop, cheesecake cafe!
5th stop, Parkway...

and finally home!

Those were the days... When we were young... We could walk down the whole stretch of Orchard and still feel energetic but now we could only think of, where is the next place for us to sit down and chat....Haha

Haha, as I am typing this, I am talking to this little bro of mine. Someone who enjoys music and knows how to play the violin. And he shocked me today by saying he got a piano. Cause he reminded about something that we shared among the exchange students in Maastricht...
We were saying what kind of instruments that a guy can play will make him look sexy.
I think Irene and Albert says Sax.
Vic is going for Cello and Cor says piano.
Chriss and I settled for.... no need for guessing, both violin and piano.

So Hueisiang, you passed our sexiness test!
Attestament to your ability,

And he just bought the piano! Oh darn him.

Birthday Celebration!

Thank you Cyril and Gerry for the cake. It was a super nice ice cream cake for 40 sgd. yes, it is that cheap as compared to SG. I think for that size in SG, it will cost 80 sgd? It was enough to feed 20 people even though the belgium store says it for 10. Remember the "Belgium Size"? We even had Yeos drink kindly sponsored by Gab who came from Paris to see his dear gf Vic. And we just ate and be merry.
I hope the 21st birthday is memorable for Chriss as well. We knew she didn't like people to sing for her the "Birthday Song". So guess what we did? We wrote the lyrics out on the paper and flash it while someone hum the music. It was hilarious.

We celebrated Cor's Birthday in a good old fashion way of European living. Beer, Chips and be merry.
We also gave her a super high jumpy surprise. And a pair of woollen gloves and scarf that she has been using so often.
Yes, the weather has changed. The trees have turned red. What a beautiful sight.
How I wish the sight will never last. And my experience too!
Happy Birthday once again!

We also treated ourselves to a good meal on Friday to celebrate the September babies, namely, Chriss, Corinne and Shaowei aka Charles. What a coincidence. All of their names start with "C".

We ate by the river at a restaurant call Bon Homme. Nice Ambience and service. I like. Food ok only la.

Cheers!!
