So my last installment. For London.
We went to Arsenal Stadium because I so wanted to see the new stadium. Boo. Let's start with the old stadium!

The Gunners!

And finally, we left Astor Quest at 11pm. We entertained ourselves and ate at a nice indian restaurant.

And that's the french guy who fell in love with Corinne babe. And overnight at London Stansted Airport, 4 of them, only to miss the plane. Bye London, I will be back to shop till I drop in December!

(last day in London) We woke up late and left hostel late. By the time we got to Buckingham Palace, there were so many TALL people who were blocking my short view of the palace change of guards. But but, a twist of fate, we decided to go St. James Park for a walk and we saw the guards coming out in OUR directions. Whoopie!

Covent Garden was our next stop after King's Cross, I was so tired that I fell asleep on the tube. And our friendly photographer, Victoria Tay, likes to take photos of us sleeping! I have gotten my revenge in Vienna, shall post it up next time.

Clockwise:
- Sleeping like a log.
- Covent Garden! Just a busker's heaven. Shopping area.
- Food, we love.
- Ponti for lunch!

Food? Bleah.
The busker we love so much. We supported him only.
Yeah, photo with him!

Day 2 in London, what? Only day 2? Yeah I am slow!! Well, we went to Portobello Market. This is Nottinghill, made famous by that movie with the same name. I didn't do any photo editing. The skies are weird huh? We ate a lot along the market stretch. Shuck. Did I get fatter?
I seriously hope not. In denial, I refused to weigh myself.

Yes, we went to the famous cup cake place. And we ate them for 1plus pound each! Oh no, fats... Then we had fako seafood too. We love food! When I think of Portobello, I think of food, I think of myself getting fat. ARGH!

Finally I am going to conclude my last entry on the first day in London. That's the 4 girls with London Eye background. How I wish I could take it and enjoy the view with a warm brace.
I walked down River Thames with my favourite Birks! Yes, here in Netherlands, I think I can get more birks at a cheaper price. Yes, I am broke. Sucker for anything cheap even though it might be expensive.
I am looking for that new Shure earphones. E2C to replace my old ones. Ipod 80gb please!! I need to listen to music in private.
Take care. I have so many entries on London first day. Argh.

Yes! We're still on the topic of "FIRST day of London". Darn. It was my longest day. I was awake from SG time 10pm till London time midnight. Effectively, I didn't sleep as much as I would like on the plane to exercise so much on the first day. =(
We were made to walk so much because of slave driver JR. Argh! So we sought shelther at the horses place in London when it rained. Forgot the name of the place. Well then after that we proceeded for a walk down River Thames. From the London Eye to Tower Bridge. Tiring walk.
Then Irene and Albert wanted to collect some Thames water for Thu Huong but they decided the river water was too smelly for London peeps who keep checking our bags at customs.
Well for some people, they prefer playing with the public convenience. Yes, toilets! JR couldn't wait to find one and paid 20p to get into one. I will upload the video for you guys to see. It was a hilarious moment. And we ended off at Tower Bridge. Isn't that photo nice? I love that photo I took but it was blurred. Prolly cause I was shivering in cold.

Yes, we're still at London! I saw this tacky advert at every tube station that says, "We're are Londoners." Talking about ego.

After going to Westminster Abbey and lunching at KFC, we went to check out our hostel. It was ok. Red double decks. Thank you guys for helping us shift luggages. Then we decided to go check out London eye and all. We saw PWC on our way our of tube. Power to we girls.

We finally got to Trafalgar Square. Lots of birds. Lots of tourists. Left after a few shots. And head to River Thames. Look on!

The first day at London. Erm, after taking a 13 hour flight from Singapore to London. Leaving at 1040pm and arriving in London 6am. Goodness. We were made to carry our luggage to the train station. Thank goodness for the courtesy porter at tube station who helped us with our luggages.

Then we waited 1-2 hours for the 4 of them at Bayswater. We went to check into Astor Quest and walk around London, enjoying Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. Nothing nice about Ben actually. =P

We decided to go back to our hostel and check it out. Grab a family meal at KFC which costs 12 pounds! 12 pieces of chicky, 6 cups of drinks and 2 salad and 2 soupy stuff.

When we left KFC, we saw 3 person sharing that meal. SHUCKS!

So we walked a lot in London. I was so dead tired the first day. I will let you know why in my next few posts. Ciao!

The START of my journey.

Let me try to retrace my steps according to the little document in my laptop. =) Thanks to all the dudes and babes who shared the photos with me.

Irene who was on the flight with me. It was a good flight. Nonetheless, we feel tired but excited.

Clockwise

1) Irene.
2) Tube station "Bayswater"
3) Irene with the many many luggages. Pack from Singapore all the way to London.
4) Cheers from me!

We finally met up with the other 4 who had reached earlier.

Our first stop together was the hostel. Astor Quest Hostel. We couldn't check into our rooms cause we were tad bit too early.

So we went to Westminster Abbey!
6 of us!
And outside Westminster Abbey. The place where most kings are buried. And also coronations were held there.

Creepy. No photos allowed inside. We went in for 6pounds! What were we thinking?

Discover in London!

So yes, we did lead a difficult time while in London cause everything was in pounds and we just wanted to save money... but after awhile... we got sick of it.
Just want to know how tough our lives were? Look on.

Yes we do suffer alot, don't we? Carrying all the load with us while we travel...

But sometimes life do get better when you meet someone familiar, you start to feel better. Especially when this person introduces you to the all uncle beer. At first it was yuck, it is still yuck but gets better with time. Haha... You have to drink. Trust me, everywhere we go, the restaurant will make you order one. Force you to drink. Darn!

Cheers to Kay Beng! With London Pride, Bombadier, Young's Bitter and Broadway! =) All England famous beer. Cling! Cheers!

Comfort Food in London
(I dedicate this to special snacks while I travelled cause I love eating and being fat!)
Thank you Madame for the Mochi, it is delicious. Yummy.
Peanut and Green Tea flavoured Mochi. This is part of my lunch at the first day of London. We were on super tight budget while we were there on the first day. Haha!

Icecream in quite cold weather is very therapeutic. Not quite good to the heart when you know it costs 1.80 pounds. But heck, we still went for it. Yum. PURE PURE WHITE WHITE MILK MILK VANILLA VANILLA ICE ICE CREAM CREAM.

How about having SWEET and FATTENING cupcakes at Portobello Market in Nottinghill? Slurp slurp.

GODIVA!!! The Yummiest chocs you can get in SG. But here you get even more selection. Thanks to Beng for the choc while I was in London. Thanks for treating my friends and I to dinner. Must have burnt a hole in your pocket.

That summarises my comfort food in London!

Hello!!!
HELLO!!!

I have finally landed on Planet Maastricht after a harrowing experience at Brussels. Phew people, I am in 1 piece (how I wish I can say "a shapely piece"), with 2 luggages (of course man!) and a rested soul finally. I can have a spot on Planet Earth that I can truly dump my things around and rest. I do not need to shift around for the next few months. =)

Things are good here except for the muggers. Bet ya didn't know I have landed on the NUMBER ONE uni in Netherlands. Heck, I thought it was some unknown uni. I am in some shit now. Oops. Must mug sia. Let's not talk about work. PLAY time!

London is a damn polluted place. Trust me when I say that, cause even my mucus can turn black. Gee. That's London Eye behind me. River Thames also. Take care people. I will talk more about my adventures soon. I gotta catch some rest after travelling for 24 hrs.
